Supporting individual item management, a practice unique to the luxury resale industry
The Valuence Group offers life-changing value tailored to all our stakeholders, encouraging every person in the world to live true to yourself. Valuence Group company Valuence Technologies, Inc. (Tokyo; Ryoji Fukaya, Representative Director and President) today announced that, with the transfer of Valuence Japan, Inc.’s warehouses, it has developed a proprietary warehouse management system (WMS).
Valuence Technologies develops a unique system suited to the Valuence Group’s business model
Valuence Japan is engaged in the purchase and sale of luxury brand goods, precious metals, and other items, the current main business of the Valuence Group. As of March 2021, Valuence Japan has transferred its merchandise warehouse from its head office in Minato-ku, Tokyo to a new logistics base in Shinagawa-ku, also in Tokyo. Concurrently, Group member Valuence Technologies has been successful in building and operating its warehouse management system (WMS), which is tailored to the unique Valuence Group business model, after a six-month development period.
The development and implementation of this WMS will not only have the general benefit of reducing costs and increasing efficiency, but also provide support for individual item management, a unique method to the brand reuse industry that treats all items handled as single, unique items. Building a system from scratch suited to Valuence Japan’s inventory and stocking management overcomes the problem of having no solution fully matching Valuence’s intentions.
Handy application developed alongside the WMS; API linkage increases efficiency and enables anyone to easily follow workflows
Valuence Technologies has not only developed a WMS, but also a handy application with APIs linked to the WMS. Computers and smartphones with the app installed allow users to conduct operations, bringing efficiency to the next level. Furthermore, any user with the app can follow workflows, leading to prevention of mistakes in sorting and movement as well as enabling appropriate merchandise management.
This has led to more efficient, smoother shipping of auctioned products at the March STAR BUYERS AUCTION, a mainstay business of the Valuence Group handling luxury brand goods. This success has proven the effectiveness of intra-Group cooperation.
Expanding the range of application and system development
Valuence Technologies has been active in developing and improving functionality of the Miney asset management application, developing a merchandise management system for registering the enormous amount of merchandise handled by the Valuence Group, and developing systems for taking auctions online. It has now succeeded in developing a new warehouse management system. Valuence Technologies not only accepts orders from entities within the Valuence Group, but from outside the Group as well for development of systems and applications incorporating its development accomplishments so far. Going forward, Valuence Technologies will continue to develop systems and applications in line with the business models of companies both inside and outside of the Group based on the latest technology, and contribute to the shift to digital transformation, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
